Air Temperature: 12
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: blue sky

Distance Covered:

Got out at Newborough for an evening session. After diddly-squat wind for most of the day, the front came through and the wind increased to about Force 6 SSW. RAF Valley windmeter saying 30mph gusting to 37mph at the time I was out, but not sure we were getting that at Newborough.

A bit of a struggle initially to get through the breaking waves but once past them settled down. Went North up the beach towards Ynys Llanddwyn thinking that the swell might be a bit less up there, but not sure it was.

Getting the hang of this airtime thing - a great feeling when you get the timing of edging/kite/board all correct - experienced my first silent jump - i.e., suddenly it all goes quiet - as you leave the breaking waves behind.

Would have given this session five stars, but I had only taken the light wind board with me, and so couldn't hold the edge on occasions - so given it four stars.
